A few days ago the grandmother of my friend Pablo passed away. This situation reminded me of my grandmother Victoria or like my siblings and I called her, abuelita - Vicky. My dad’s mum was a great person. She was a hard worker, and peaceful person. I think that she was one of the main authors of our lives or at least of my life.

My mom told me that when I was born my grandmum visited us, and she gave my mom some artesanal soaps and fruit. I know that she didn't have much money but her granddaughter and daughter in law probably needed some food and soap. All babies require soaps!

I loved her, and today I love her memories. She always had something to share like an advice, a smile or food (at her home always there were traditional food (potatoes, rocoto/chili cream and cancha/dry corn roasted). I'll never forget her, so she is alive in my thoughts and heart.

Thank you for all lovely women, all of you were the best!
